Raksha Bandhan is a beautiful occasion which illuminates the true love between brother and sister and also enriches the value of brotherhood/sisterhood among the people. This festival was celebrated in a bit different way, by tying Rakhis to a trees and saplings, calling it as ‘Vrikshabandhan’. Vrikshabandhan was done with an intention to sensitize students towards environment protection and promote a sense of brotherhood towards nature.
To celebrate the extraordinary bond between children and the Almighty, the students of Pre Primary class dressed up as lord Krishna and Radha, complete with flutesand peacock feathers.The celebration that followed was truly entertaining and educating.
