At DAV Public School Cambridge, our little stars of class Pre primary celebrated Janmashtami with great joy! Our young learners discovered the significance of festivals  with enthusiasm. It was a day filled with learning, laughter and cultural enrichment.

The students created their own eco-friendly bansuri, a traditional Indian flute, using clay. They learnt about sustainable practices and craftsmanship while shaping and designing their instrument. A fun and creative activity promoting environmental awareness and cultural appreciation. They rolled the bansuri and shaped the feather and designed the flute.  

 Vriksha Bandhan was celebrated at Cambridge International DAV Public School on 16th August 2024– where students tied rakhi to the trees and took a pledge to protect them. It is a novel idea, which aimed at bringing awareness among the people to  protect their environment.  Besides all this , a discussion with the students was also held in the class where they were told about the importance of trees. Importance of Trees- 1. Tress are very important to our lives. 2. Trees give us fresh air to breathe. 3. Trees give us wood, paper, medicines  fruits and vegetables. 4. Trees give us shade and  shelter to animals and birds.   So we should stop cutting down trees and plant more trees. Ways to Conserve the trees-  🌳By not cutting the trees. 🌳Not writing on the bark of the trees. 🌳Stop using wooden decorative. 🌳Gift plants on your friend's birthday. 🌳Avoid printing more paper.  🌳Tying a knot and creating a bond with the tree. 🌳 Don't keep paper towels in your house. 🌳 Adopt a
